Nursing Units
The Florida Hospital Neuroscience Institute has one of the largest Neuro Critical Care units in the country and is staffed with experienced, specialty trained neuro nurses. The nurses work closely with the physicians as they provide complex treatments for our patients, to make sure you are comfortable, and to ensure you receive the care that you need and deserve. Each day, our nurses have the chance to change a life, touch a heart and have a hand in healing our patients. Because here at the Florida Hospital Neuroscience Institiute, it’s not about how many patients we see or how many tests we perform, it is about the care we provide for one patient at a time.
A great nurse can make all the difference in the world when it comes to having a successful brain or spine surgery. The primary responsibilities of a nurse usually include knowing and understanding the neurological disease of each patient. This includes performing initial and sometimes frequent evaluations, and administering shots or IV placements.
In today's health care world, the patient comes first. Your demands are greater than ever before, and we are focused on meeting those demands by providing exceptional neurosurgical care. Our standard of nursing excellence greatly contributes to the success and stability of our neurosurgical institution and the mental and physical well being of our patients. Our nurses give much more than just medical knowledge, they give their whole heart.
